The goal for Highland Park Renaissance Academy is to improve student learning and achievement in all core subject areas to meet the State of Michigan proficiency goal. This will be accomplished by using Oakland County Atlas Rubicon, in conjunction with a wide variety of curriculum pieces for every core subject. These quality proven and comprehensive curriculum pieces promotes core subject mastery. All of the curriculum pieces are standards-based and fully aligned to Michigan Curriculum Framework standards, benchmarks and grade level content expectations. Using various learning styles and teaching strategies, they provide the foundation for expanded learning opportunities and enables all students to achieve academic success. The academy will focus on areas of student need as identified by locally developed and state standardized assessments.
In addition to the traditional curriculum pieces, HPRA utilizes technology-based learning tools such as MobiMax to meet students where they are, while moving them toward proficiency in reading and math.
